Got to love the first design.

The second could be made post wedding, with photos of the wedding guests and the happy couple printed on fabric pieced in the blank blocks, or applique the photos on after the big day.

read moreLove the green appearing in the background as it is now the end of a dry winter and there has been very little green on the ground … there has even been less weeds in the garden. (Not a lot less though.)
I love the second design, especially the centre!
Perhaps it is the extra green that makes it more attractive to me.

It could be fun to mix up the flower fabrics a bit more interesting to work on … perhaps even totally scrappy!
read moreI enjoy playing with traditional designs to create something different. I also prefer applique to piecing, so turning a design where the rings were usually pieced together to an applique design was a natural for me.
Even better with an area where quilting can be shown off.
read moreOh, so pretty! Oh, so many tiny flowers to applique, though perhaps they could be embroidered, by hand or machine. The machine sounds like a good option!
If it was to be a real wedding quilt the block spaces could be used for wedding guests to sign, along with details of the wedding party and immediate family.

Love the second design.

Some minor changes, still nice.
I have to admit that pretty much every day I add more designs to whatever project file I open … I keep wondering what it would look like if I change a block, swap some colours, and after just a few minutes I might have added five or more designs to the file.

Oh, so romantic.

Love the second design, though I think I would tone down the colouring in the applique blocks in the corners if I was cutting up fabric to make this one.
read moreIt may be spring time in Australia, but my advice for any brides planning to get married in the near future is to have some winter woolies to keep you warm, or plan all activities for the day to be indoors with central heating.
At least there are some hardy spring flowers adding colour to the garden, though the weeds are trying to keep them out of view.

Love the second design, and there is no problem with the corners or anywhere else!

Oops! I was interrupted just before I hit the publish button, and didn’t get back to check until this morning. I will try better this morning!

The second one is my first pick of today’s pair of designs.

Love both of these!

With the lighter brighter background the second design would be a wonderful place to show off some lovely quilting.
read moreI like the first one of today’s designs.
I love the second design.
I have started a new project file with beaded wedding rings … well, so far I have drawn a heap of blocks … one of several project files waiting for some attention in the new year, including having some time in the limelight on this blog.
read moreI love this project file, but one day I will make some changes to the blocks for a new file, or maybe a series of files. Different flowers including an Australian version using native flora. Lots of weddings happen on beaches now, so one with sea shells maybe. I already have beaded version, but there are a lot of mixed beaded version I have drawn, but have never used in designs. Then the bubble rings could become sea foam with applique shells in the centre of the rings.
I love the second design in todays post, so I hope the ...

Move the applique blocks and replace four part Wedding Rings with just the leafy joins and I love it!

Very pretty!
A slight tweak by changing a couple of blocks and the colour scheme, and it is by far my favourite for today!
